We recommend AVG Free for most home applications. AVG is also
available in a paid version for users who need more support or for
business applications. You can download either version
here. Just type in AVG Free or
			AVG into the search engine.

We recommend Spybot for all users. In addition, heavy internet
users who are more at risk may wish to download Malware Bytes
			Anti-Malware. Spybot can be downloaded
			here and Malware Bytes software
			here. You can also find
them, as well as other utilities
			here.

Computers run slow for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, the hard
disk is full, or very fragmented. Defragging your hard drive may
help. It will also let you see how full the drive is. Emptying you
trash can and deleting temporary files may also help. Sometimes the
computer slows down because of viruses or malware which is using
resources. Make sure your anti-virus software is up to date and run
a full scan. If your hard drive is beginning to fail, your computer
may slow down anything the drive is accessed.  If the reason is
not obvious, have a professional scan your system to find the cause.

R2 Enterprises of NC, Inc. is owned and operated by Ray Sipe in Richfield,
NC. Ray is a part-time Lutheran Pastor who repairs computers and
creates and maintains websites (especially for churches). Because
there is not a retail location, we prefer to come to you, working
on-site at your home or business, or to pick up your computer and
bring it back when work is completed.

Many times a computer repair can be done on-site in about an
hour. Other times, parts must be ordered or special diagnostics run
which take longer. Usually, even if parts are ordered, the repair
can be completed in just a few days.

Call anytime. Voicemail is available for you to leave a message
if no one is available. Most importantly, call at the first sign of
trouble. Leaving a virus run on your computer, or running it with
failing hardware may mean loss of important data!    |
